This is the fifteenth grant cycle for the program, which has provided more than $650,000 in local funding from the City of Bowling Green to more than seventy neighborhood groups in that time. Projects include neighborhood beautification, neighborhood organizing, capital improvement projects, neighborhood-school partnerships, and professional services. Neighborhood groups also contribute a match to these projects, which are selected, planned and implemented by neighbors themselves.

The next SNAP-qualifying neighborhood training will be the BGCAN Spring Rally of the Neighborhoods, to be held Monday, April 29 at the Bowling Green Parks & Recreation Large Community Room at 225 E. 3rd Avenue. The Rally will begin with light dinner and networking at 6:00 p.m., with program scheduled for 6:30 p.m.
